Only 1 Virtual Cash Acceptor has been working in the building since August 17. What's going on with that?

troubled chair dumping

In the past we or the maintenance crew dumped broken chairs in the hallway by the back dock. Has the policy changed because the chairs seemed to be dumped in the TR room and the access center? Where is the proper place to place chairs that need to be fixed or can not be fixed?

Encore Issue

Encore does not denote whan a book is in the stacks... one can only hope this will eventually be rectified.

List of banned people?

Is there any way that staff can be given a list of people who are banned? We often don't seem to get any official notification of this.

No Refunds Sign on Cash Acceptors?

I have received a couple of complaints recently from people who couldn't get refunds for copy cards. Would it be possible to post a "no refunds" sign on the cash acceptors? Did we used to do this in the past?

Paperbacks Display

Now that the Paperbacks Display Shelves are on the south side of the lobby, maybe it would be sensible to have the "New Fiction" and "New Nonfiction" Paperback Displays located in the same vicinity. Currently they are located on the North side of the lobby and near the Laptop desk. Perhaps they could trade places with the "Mystery" and "Sci-Fi" displays located on the south side of the lobby. Just an idea..

Janitor closets still unlocked

The janitor closets on the 2nd & 3rd floors continue to be left unlocked even when there is nobody from the cleaning crew even on the floor. I've even seen instances where the door was left ajar. This represents a security risk for both staff and customers.
On each occasion, I have notified a manager as I've been instructed to do by Mike. There is no way for us to lock these doors without a key.
However, nothing has changed since I first noticed the problem weeks ago. Every day I check a door as part of my routine and nearly every day I find an unsecured janitor's closet.
When Adam came down to lock one of the doors recently, the cleaning lady said they leave the doors unlocked because they don't have a key.
Is there a way to get cleaning staff keys so they can be responsible for locking these closets or is there another solution?
