Strange things hiding in the stacks...

I have noticed an unusual amount of materials being stashed/put on top of shelves in the 700s. (you can see those shelves as you come down from the 3rd floor via the stairs). I am sure that there are lots of things stashed on other shelves...just cant see them from a step stool.

items I have found so far: an empty photo album, razor, bag of personal papers, library books

Is there a way we can regularly check *all* of the top of the shelves for stashed items? We would need a ladder to do this.

Yellow pages

It is that time again. If you have received your yellow pages and don't want it or still have last years, please bring them in. It would be nice if every reference desk has a copy for the staff and public to use.

R3--chair and hydraulics

Would it be possible to get another chair for R3?

Also, can we get the new desk plugged in so that the hydraulics work?
